RATIONALE
Inference requires the reader to unravel implicit information.
In PROBE it is defined as simple inference.
Describing it as simple inference is not to imply it is easy to unravel.
It is found in all forms of writing from basic readers to academic treatises.

•  Model sentences show the reader how to infer information.
•  Level Two sentences include negatives & instructions.
•  The sentences are followed by paragraphs & longer texts.
•  Level Three includes hard news, sports news, reviews & advertising.
