1. Can I teach evaluation, bypassing reorganisation
and inference?
It is always best to ensure that the skills of reorganisation and inference are well understood and used competently before embarking on evaluation.
Evaluation is a combination of these two skills, and therefore requires more ‘reading between and beyond’ the lines.
There are more questions that require an abstract answer in KEY into evaluation than there are in the other resources.
This can be difficult even for adult students.

2. Why is there no separate reaction resource?
Any text will have only one reaction question.
For this reason it was deemed more efficient to place reaction in the same resource as evaluation.
They are the two highest skill level comprehension categories, and as such, can be taught side by side to students who have already mastered reorganisation and inference.
